Old Chicago Inn's Cancellation Policy

We require a two week notice of cancellation to avoid penalty. Cancellations made within 14 days of a check in date will be charged for the full stay unless we are able to resell the room (s) for the date (s) reserved.

A no show, no call guest will be treated as a cancellation and charged the full amount.

Requirements at Check In

All guests are required to present a valid government issued form of identification at check in. Accepted forms from US residents are State issued driver's licenses, state issued ID cards, or a US passport. International travelers will be required to present a passport. You may be asked to sign a credit card authorization form and/or guest registration form.

Limitations

Please understand that while we wish we could meet every need, as a small bed and breakfast in a building over 100 years old, we have limitations in our accommodations. The Old Chicago Inn does not have an elevator and is not handicap accessible.

Travelers with disabilities, special dietary concerns or severe allergies should contact us to see if we are able to accommodate your specific needs or if you would be more comfortable in another facility.

Maid Service

The Old Chicago Inn does not provide daily maid service in rooms, unless by special arrangement. Charges vary depending on the season and room. Bed linens are changed every 3 days for extended stays. Fresh towels are available at any time by request.

Parking

We encourage our guests to visit sans automobile. Our location, just one half block form the "el," and our neighborhood plentiful with taxis, gives the traveler little need for a vehicle. If you must bring a car we are happy to provide you with residential permit passes. Please understand that these are only provided to registered guests staying in our home. While we may advise you on where and how to park , you do so at your own risk. We will not assume any liability for vehicle damage, theft, tickets or tows.

Check In and Check Out Times

Check ins are permitted from 3 pm until 11pm. Check out time is daily at 12 noon. We are happy to accommodate early or late arrivals when possible. Please make the necessary arrangements at the time of your reservation.

Children and Pets

Children under the age of 18 are welcome. However, please understand that the Inn may not be appropriate for some younger guests as we have many antiques and are by no means "child proof". Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times when staying at the Old Chicago Inn.

Well mannered, quiet dogs are welcome in certain rooms, and are considered individually. To consider your pet we need to know the age, size, breed (we love the mutt variety), and will need proof of current vaccinations. We ask that dogs not be left unsupervised in guest rooms unless kenneled and quiet.

Smoke Free Facility

In an effort to maintain a healthy, clean and comfortable environment, the Old Chicago Inn is an entirely smoke free facility. A $200 cleaning charge may be assessed in instances of violations.
